Why Core Groups?
A while ago we transitioned as church away from a conventional "Ministry Model" to an authentic "Discipleship Model". That included a shift from our traditional Wednesday Night Program to meeting in our homes during the week in our so called "Core Groups". Core Groups are the "Core" of Riverside, the center of our vision, as it is the place where authentic discipleship takes place. Here we meet as whole families where kids see their parents talking about the Bible, sharing their faith, and praying for one another! Everyone is challenged to grow, not in a classroom style, but relationally!
Our mission is to win souls and make disciples. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we want to turn unbelievers into believers, believers into disciples, and disciples into disciple-makers. The best environment to do that is in our homes where we get to see "Changed Lives Change Lives."
